Dock diving class
Hey gang, sorry it took me so long to get onto the list! I think I was hibernating during the winter, and now I'm paying for it with all the work to do getting ready for dock season.
Anyway - good news! The Canine Ranch is now hosting dock diving classes on Sundays starting in May. We're offering a 4 week class for $100 or an 8 week class for $150. Each class is one hour long and is limited to 4 students so you have plenty of dock time. Steve Manola will be teaching the classes (he has won several contests and has 2 big jumping dogs).
I'm assuming everyone on this list already has a jumping dog and may not need additional advice, but you never know! The Beginner classes are at 12:30 and 2:00, and I have one Intermediate at 11:00am. The Beginner is for dogs that know how to swim, but don't jump yet, and the Intermediate is for dogs already jumping and wanting to improve distance. If you know of anyone interested, please forward my information to them, as I only have 1 and 2 spots left in each class.
We still offer the same service as last year at the same price - hourly rental of the dock (competition sized) for $15 for 1 person, $25 for 2 people, and $30 for 3 people. Group events and picnics are also affordable - please call for pricing. Our first all day play session is tentatively scheduled for May 9th (all the agility and dock diving you can handle for $20/person). Check the website within the week for confirmation.
I'll be working the event in AFLAC with Milt and look forward to seeing you all there (if I don't see you sooner!)

Frisbee clinic
Good job! We typically only have frisbee clinics at the first part of the year, but I'm asking my club to consider moving one of the clinics to July as we might better serve those wanting to learn.
Next time you come up I want to see how you're throwing!!

Re: Dock diving class
Well- I'm a little disappointed about the 9th now, since it seems that I'm on the schedule to work- darn it!
But I'll keep practicing my frisbee skills in hopes that I'll get to show you what I've learned (I still have issues from time to time- the frisbee just doesn't want to listen to what I tell it to! lol ) You should see the amazing jumps Sirius does to get "his" frisbee! Twists and Turns- he jumps higher than my head (over 6ft)!
I'll keep my eyes peeled for a clinic in july!
